The Classic Nintendo Wiki is a sort of democracy, as each and every user, no matter what their status, has a voice in how the wiki is run (as long as no rules are violated). However, some major merges, deletions, or additions to articles or the rules on this wiki may be too major for one user to make without consent, and that's what proposals are for. Here, users can post their proposals and other users may vote on whether or not they think that 1) It pertains to the rules, and 2) It would be beneficial to the Wiki. The rest you can guess: If most users vote yes on the issue, it will pass, and if most vote no, it will not pass.

However, before any proposals are posted, please take note of these rules:

  1. Changes, additions or removals that users feel should have the support of the community first can be added by anyone, but they must have a strong argument in support.
  2. Every vote should have a reason accompanying it, and should be signed with the user template or three or four ~'s.
  3. All proposals are archived. The original proposer must take action accordingly if the outcome of the proposal dictates it. If it requires the help of a sysop, the proposer can ask for that help.
  4. Any proposals that are unconstitutional to the list of rules will automatically be waived.
  5. Each proposal will have seven days to be accepted or declined. Once the proposal(s) is finished, it will be moved to the archives and if the proposal(s) pass(ed), it will be the responsibility of the proposal's creator to see that its course of action is put into effect. If the proposal does not pass, its requested change, removal, split, merge, or addition will not be put into effect, but it will be moved to the archives nevertheless.
  6. NO proposals concerning the addition of Gamecube, Wii, Game Boy Advance, or DS characters, games, locations, and items will be accepted, nor will the addition of any non-related Nintendo things be accepted.
